Who We Are
Nathan grew up in the small town of Etna Green, IN and spent his early years playing football and wrestling. When he wasn’t playing a sport, he was either attending a church meeting or working alongside his grandfather at his grandparents’ country property. It was in these environments that Nathan learned to work hard and trust God. He eventually married Myra, who, after 17 years of marriage, is still the love of his life. Together, Nathan and Myra have 4 children, 3 sons and a daughter. In 2008, during the height of the mortgage collapse, Nathan took a new job that transported his young family to Michigan. When they arrived in Michigan the local U-Haul franchiser expressed relief to finally get a truck coming into Michigan as all his one-way rentals had long since left the state. As you can imagine, this news was disconcerting. After a few years Nathan decided to take a job in the pest control industry with one of the nation’s largest providers. It was during this time he learned the industry and became the top account manager in the mid-west and one of the best in the country. Overall this was a wonderful experience for him. But as time passed he began to feel a deep desire to build a family business that would provide opportunities for his children and future generations. Thus, Ulmer Pest Control was born. Nathan knows that if he will take the lessons learned from his grandparents by providing honest hard work and quality service to his community that he will indeed be able to build a multigeneration legacy business that blesses his community with good jobs and the best service available anywhere!
